I searched Ebay for work at home and saw a number of listings that were listed for a penny, that looked like they were just promoting a link. Really I mean there was nothing that they were selling except the stuff on there site. I would like to do this for my work at home site, but I don't know how they are doing it and not getting in trouble from ebay. If someone can show me how they are doing this , I would really appreciate it. Here is one of the ads on ebay that I am talking about.. It definatley not my ad, but It might help you explain what type of ad it is and how to post something like it for my site. http://cgi.ebay.com/Work-At-Home-Fr...2QQihZ020QQcategoryZ50338QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem If I can do it it sure would seem like it would be a good way to get some traffic. Thanks
that add has only gotten 31 hits. Maybe its not that good an idea. I thought some how if you listed it on ebay, that maybe it would get picked up by google. Hmmm. So what do you think?
its against ebay's TOS to post links in your auction unless you are selling something such as a website or domain name they wont last much longer probably
I get alot of traffic from ebay, and dont use links (to keep within the TOS) Get creative on the page ads with ebay and people will find your site!
I found an interesting way a particular seller got some ebay advertising of sorts - he simply took part in auctions as normal and in the feedback said something along the lines of "Thanks for the good business from www.websitename.com"
They are doing best job... I have never seen a company who enforce its TOS so badly but yes everything needs improvement.
I see links to websites all the time with sellers plugging their stores. Don't tell me they are all subject to banning.
people have been doing this for ages... I sold a domain not long ago the auction had many many hits and the domain's alexa traffic ranking went up a fair bit...like 500,000 rang from like 3million lols
traffic from ebay? really doesn't make sense to do that....posting junk for a penny....I mean...mabey a luxury car..but c'mon
I wrote about that in my last blog post I had about 12 hits from ebay at two days.. Well I got happy. Go look for the most expensive website and see that its just for marketing hes website
Hi All Generating traffic and leads from ebay is becoming quite popular. It can be an excellent traffic source. Whilst your auction may only get 12 views - those people should be highly targeted. The auction which was linked to in this thread is a clear violation of eBay's TOS - and I would never be this blatant. There is nothing wrong with including your site address in your feedback. I do this all the time and it produces a trickle of traffic. I learned this from a powerseller who uses it to great effect. Your "about me" page is also a great way to obtain leads - you can direct people to your site or even have a newsletter opt in form right there. One guy I know has a whole business, where he sells cheap 99c ebooks, at a loss purely to generate leads. I won't go into the specifics as he sells a manual about how he does this - but trust me it works. I used his principles to generate a lot of commissions from a high ticket affiliate program last year. It was a newsletter and I am still getting monthly commissions from it - all thanks to ebay. It is worth exploring guys - high quality - highly targeted - no cost or low cost traffic/leads. Regards Baz
Ebay Marketing is good, but needs to be done in the right way such as- "A quality product from awebsitethatneedssomeebaymarketing.com" IT
