CL is a great place to post goods/services. You will generate traffic and you will make money. The forums, however, seem to be a different matter. I only used them a few times and had a very bad experience each time.

Stay Away from the forums: Those Jackasses are regulars. They turn off a lot of people. What's the point of getting those people to your site anyway? Are they going to buy or click? Probably not.

I've had legitimate ads local for my offline business get ghosted. Is there a service that does this or something?

Craigs List is powerful and it will surely get you listed however they have become quite strict in recent years. I believe they now even verify you by phone.

lol, is this true? Does CraigsList verify by phone?

EDIT: I just checked for myself, it seems the phone verification is only for the "Erotic Services" category.

What percentage of CL posts are promotional posts such as these, and not genuine users?

When posting on craigslist for your own product try using html and your own image. You can make it clickable and it won't distort. Your ad can be much larger and have greater impact.

Check out my thread for samples of work I have had the privilege to do for DPrs.

I would have to disagree with you. Craiglsit is the best place in the world to advertise you service and products. After all it is the numer 11 ranked website in the world and if you want you product or service to be seen you will get the exposure. We have made $$$$$$$ on Craiglist but did not go to the trouble of placing ads ourself. Our poster charges a meager 30 cents an ad and we only pay for ads that are up.

Are you using some service for that? Or some software?

2angel19991 - where can I get more information about your software?

The only software that is worth 2 cents cost around $1000 then you have to buy verified accounts that you lose. We use a posting service that gives us good results and we dont have to waste our time posting.

I Heard a great Craiglist marketing technique a while back. Go to the area where they are seeking products. Then, find an affiliate network offering what they need and tell about the product with your link.

I'm using Craigslist right now and I have to agree to some degree. Very few clickthroughs and no sales as of yet. I guess we'll see.
