I have this super hot new product, smokeless cigarettes, with a virtually untapped market and was wondering how to go about marketing it. I know the usual article submissions, and viral marketing online, but I think this will be bigger offline. What would be some effective offline methods? Take an ad in the Sunday paper? or is offline marketing basically dead? Thanks
Try hitting up cigarette shops. I wouldn't waste your money on print. If you want to sell a lot then your best off going the wholesale route selling B2B or you would have to open your own store to go B2C. Offline is all about networking and promotion. Advertising in general is expensive and for your product would be hard to reach your target market with out spending a lot of money.
I know nothing about offline marketing except one thing. It'll NEVER be dead. I've heard about those smokeless cigarettes. A friend of mine bought one for $150! He didn't even bat an eye at the price. I think you DO have a good product. Good luck to you!
You can't beat offline marketing... Get you and your product to trade shows etc.. For online, do EVERYTHING, or as much as you can. Also, don't advertise with a small budget or even a medium budget. You won't get the views that is needed to make an impact. They say it takes someone 3 times to even remember the product.
