Soon i'm going to be making a website with Football (English) news, transfer gossip, football resources like wallpapers, video highlights and streams. I was just wondering how i could market this with pretty much no cash and any other ideas on how to be a success? This will be my second site, last one i sold for $250.
Hi El Nino, As market expert said - probably the first thing to do is get a presense in the Niche by posting in niche forums. Also make replies to blogs on football and make the content of both your posts and replies high enough to have people want to visit your site. In the football niche you are going to be up against a massive amount of competition, so you need to focus your SEO on quite specific long tailed keywords. Target "Premier league football results" over "football results" - in fact you will probably want to go even further than than. Most important though is to get the word out about your site. Link from everywhere relevant and keep the quality high. Good Luck.
Just have live updates on news and submit those to digg and other places...youll get plenty of visitors...then create an email list or something and sell that with the site, you could probably get pretty good money after about 5 months of hardwork.
