Hello! I just started a blog, www.beawomanizer.com. It's a blog where I write articles giving dating advice for me. Let me just say that promoting a blog is extremely difficult. It's only been only for 2 days and I've gotten 300 unique visitors each day, and about 7ppl on my RSS. Keep in mind this is my very first blog so this is a huge learning experience. I dugg, netscape, and reddit each article. I found that netscape brought me A LOT of traffic. Digg will bring you some people when it's on the first few pages of incoming, but I haven't has much luck getting diggs. A few people visit my site from reddit. But Netscape is definitely the way to go for me and I feel the traffic is a little targeted because they have a "men" channel. I signed up for Fark so I am waiting to see how that goes. I think for my netscape/digg stuff I will try and get more friends so it will help my articles. Forums are a GREAT way to target market. What I did was search google for the biggest forums. I just repost an article from my site, and I tell people it's pulled from my site at the beginning of the post. It's gotten a lot of clicks. My plan now is to keep researching. I'll keep writing an article a day, and spend the rest of the time promoting it and trying to find new ways to bring traffic in. I'm trying to get as much done before school starts in a month. This has been a great learning experience, and my respect for bloggers has gone up so much more.
