To whom it may concern, I am a British freelance journalist who has recently turned my writing services into a small company. I produce a number of writing services for webmasters, affiliates and online businesses. I was wondering, do any of you know of excellent marketing companies that could help a small writing company take off? Alternatively, apart from Warrior Forums and DP does anyone know of any online marketing forums that would be a relevant place to advertise these services? All advice appreciated, Regards, A. Hayes.
Thanks for your reply. Did you post your required project on Elance and wait for people to contact you? Or did you seek the writers out yourself? I had lost faith with bidding sites a while back, it may work well to find writers but less so for clients. There have been good things said about Elance though. Regards, A. Hayes.
Your best bet is to ask online ad networks for advice. They also have an inventory of sites you can list your ads on.
Do you have a specific niche? I have found it easier to do so, I will offer on here and other places a special offer from time to time but in the main I have found a niche I like and work within it. For example in weight loss a simple study of weight loss affiliate marketers, bloggers, forum owners etc can lead to lucrative results if you approach them directly with strong examples of your work. But this can take time I admit so it could be you are best off offering on here for now and then expanding into hunting clients and approaching them as and when you have time.
Many ways I can think of: First off, know who your consumers are. You are a writers, so your consumers are publishers (news websites, newspapers, magazines, bloggers, websites in general etc.) Next look at where those customers go to find workers. Could be freelance websites, forums, facebook or anywhere. The last suggestion would be to directly contact people who could use your product. Compile a list of email address and mass email your offers.
Hi, Thanks for the advice guys. Our aim is to write compelling pieces on every matter and subject. However, I do understand what you mean by specialising in niches. I would prefer to keep my services broader, but may use that as one of my marketing strategies. For now I have had some results with Craiglist, google adwords and Warrior. I am still building relevant back links to my website and hopefully in a few months the search engines alone may help direct targeted traffic. Regards, A. Hayes.

Im not sure what is up with that last post. I am currently considering making a list of places where it would pay to advertise my writing services. I may even be prepared to buy that list if anyone is interested. Regards....
