Ive been into internet marketing and blogging for about a year, and I gotta say it makes me want to kick a kitten... no not just one, like three in a row. Pow pow pow! Take that kitty! Ok so really, there are so many different ways to make money on the net and everyone is saying that their way is the best. So my question to you is, how do you decide which one to go (and hopefully stick with)? Over the last few weeks Ive been reading tons here on DP. Ive seen people swear by youtube clones, proxies, blogging for cash, affiliate marketing, and the list goes on... For the love of God help me out here and save the kittens!!
It is hard to know what would be best, I would suggest following a few paths at the same time, but start off small and see how they develop. You should then get a good gauge on what would work best, you can then scratch what isn't working and increase what is.
Sounds like you should be sitting behind bars for animal cruelty instead of marketing. Regardless, no cat is responsible for your inferior marketing capabilities or inability to distinguish crap from a real money making opportunity.
Here's a hint - PICK SOMETHING YOU ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT. Just because a couple of stupid tards came online and told you they make a killing in MARKET X doesn't mean you will. Did you ever stop to think about the fact that they are trying to sell you some shitty product in the first place? "I made $10,000 with youtube yesterday. Buy my ebook for $100 and you'll learn how to do it." Seriously, these are junk products and false claims. It takes all of 2 seconds to photoshop an earnings statement. Write down a list of stuff you are actually interested in and create a site around one of them. Stop buying into all the BS that everybody posts about and just do something you are actually interested in.
When I first started, I tried a few things like everyone probably. But you really have to find something that meshes with your personality and you find interesting. Some people like messing with ring tones, you tube, articles, ewhoring, etc. Some things you just won't like. Find something you do, and when you start earning scale it up and rinse and repeat.
Just a little heads up... CPA kicks some serious ass... I make a lot of money on the internet and I do MANY different things... Adsense, Clickbank, JVs.... right now though I'd have to say for QUICK profits (not saying this is long-term) CPA is doing really well for me... It's all about what you enjoy doing, and what can you earn good money... Find a combo of those two and you should be good my friend James
The epicness of this thread title is useless without kitten pics, so....... That's the best I could find for kitten kicking...which is kinda disappointing, I thought there would have been tons of more graphic pics of people kicking kittens online.
I think there is a misconception that making money online is quick and easy, all you do is put up a website and the money will flow in. NOT TRUE! Hard work, dedication and perseverance is the only way.. so you gotta choose something you enjoy. Personally I enjoy niche marketing, as well as consulting to small businesses on how they can market their business online.
Great advise. Thanks! Ive been with Adsense for the last year, but I think Ill have to try some CPA out. To be completely honest, I didnt even break the 100.00 mark to have them send the first check. You sir are an asset to the DP forums! Great pic Dad? But seriously, this is great advise. I tell my kids this on a regular basis. I guess its pretty easy to loose sight of that online.
