Ratios based on my marketing budget
I'm using radio marketing taking up 15%
Television ads probably equal the largest 40%
Since my company deals with building new and custom homes, we also target markets that we think we be developing soon and place large billboards along side the highways and interstate. Taking up another 10% That leaves me with 35% remaining to try and budget between Google, Bing, Yahoo Ad Words and purchase whatever seo services on the side. And since I know a little seo, I've been trying to meet some other people in the home market with. Is there anything that I could be doing that I'm not doing at the moment. I know I haven't told you too much you in-depth about my company, and the specifics. But I really don't wanna do that on here. If I'm missing something, improve on something or deal with someone who has a little experience where I can find some links about Home Improvement of Home Building I'd love to chat.

You should apportion your marketing resources based upon the results that they are producing and that includes your online efforts. Results, even in the same industry, vary quite a bit so it is unwise to use a rule of thumb when spending money.

I noted that you did not mention any Public Relations activities? Since you already use radio/TV, and SEO/SEM, a full-blown PR campaign (offline and online) running in conjunction with those efforts could be very effective.

As mentioned above, ROI is key to working out where you should invest future marketing spend. When doing this it is also important to be able to differentiate the results between the various channels. How do you currently know if a sale is due to radio spend or tv? Have you tried an introducer or affiliate program where people can refer leads to you?
