I've been selling a PC based auction sniper software for years and last summer made a web based version. I'm looking for ideas to encourage more people to sign up and use it (so far I have over 500 members but many don't use it). When users sign up they can buy up to $200 worth of items to try it before having to pay for the service. Do you think it would be a good idea to allow free limited use, for example allow 1 purchase of up to $100 every month without having to pay? Also to encourage users that sign up and don't use it, would it be a good idea that after a month of non use that the system send them an email and give them an additional $200 of free purchases and/or offer them double their value if they make a payment for the service? Thank you
I would definitely suggest allowing at least a free trial: I mean which new software doesn't do that. Have you thought of any way to get people to refer their friends? Why not offer money/free something to both the referrer and the referred.
As I said in my OP when they sign up they get a free trial allowing up to $200 of purchases. I do offer 50% on referred sales but the affiliate program hasn't been bringing many sales. Thanks
