Hi all, We've just released the first stable version of our social networking software a few weeks ago You can find the demo on moosocial dot com We need to start selling it but we don't have any marketing expert so we would like ideas from you guys We did submit our software to some script directories and pay to get listed among the top ones Google Adword seems to be expensive Any other suggestions? Do you want to market the site to users? Or simply sell it? A few ideas: if you want to sell it then check out flippa.com It's a great place to sell developed websites that already have some traffic and are built and ready to roll out. You can usually get a decent amount of money for a site that's built with potential. If you want to sell it and market it you can do a few things outside of google: 1) Do you have a list? If so, obviously start marketing to them 2) Linkback exchanges will drive traffic. 3) What type of SEO have you done for your site? Do you have google analytics installed? Webmaster tools? And have you checked out SEO Moz? 4) Have you considered installing Wordpress on the backend and using some of their SEO plugins to help your site? 5) What have you ton in terms of meta tags and keywords? These are usually helpful as well. 6) Have you thought about link exchange progroams? 7) You can approach some popular social network blogs that may be related to your site and see if they'll throw a banner on their site or mention you. 8) Article and Ezine submission will help drive traffic.
