    Hi,

I am looking to increase forum members on my forum which is Here

Now can anyone give me any tips on how I would be able to find new memers on the forum?

Since last Friday I have managed to get 12 new members but this isnt enough as only 4-5 stick around and post!

    Any ideas?

    SE optimizing for Google.co.uk

Seems a nice idea with a nice forum. Have you thought about advertising in biz related magazines, newsletters, etc..... ?

Hmm... promoting a forum not really my thing. So would love to know how you do, if you don't mind reporting.

By the way, have you done any of these?

    - press release
    - forum posters (get something going before heavy promotions)
    - paid blog posts
    - blog comments
    - participate in other forums
    - request reviews from websites/blogs
    - request links from websites/blogs
    - if you have the cash, pay-per-lead...

    :)

    Hi,

I have thought about press reaslse but not really sure where to submit it or anything like that.

I am not sure where I can comment on peoples blogs

I am on other forums and participate every day which is good

How and where can I request reviews from people for the site?

Can you explain more about request links from websites/blogs

    Hi,

I think you have already started generating interesting simply by asking the question and posting a link here. In theory you could do this with other webmaster forums and increase the awareness.

The same process hold true by running press release marketing, articles, social communities.

Have you tried to spider your forum? Make sure that the search engines can get past the home page and into the site to get the content.

Tip on finding members for a forum
Place ads as this one>>>> "looking for advisers..it takes advisers to establish a purpose"
Your advisers will help you find solutions...and this is the starting point to build members at a forum and or to build anything. You need advisers for your developments and vision
And when you have the wealth... pay your advisers that have followed you.
Find advisers that you can relate with is vital and important.
Your advisers will assist you in finding solutions in getting new members for your forum.

Pay people to participate in your forums, hold contests, have backlinks back to your forum with free reports or downloads that you share, submit to directories, take advantage of other forums existing member's base, etc.

Paid posters are good at this point..people come into forums looking for solutions to their prolem. If you have contents that give them what they are looking for, they will be likely to stick around and contribute their part. I was on one forum which offers free hosting for a year for 1000 posts. Obviously that makes participation in them very exciting

Paying people to post on your forum
Well thats 10 posts of information...you know information is power and currency...and information draws more members and readers
Just make sure that when a payed poster adds information with substance before paying them.
