Marketing Help?

    I think I have a great design and concept but just don't know how to market this site. Any ideas guys?

    It needs to be clearer what the site is offering when you first visit, it took me a while to work it out.

    Yes, when I get on the page, there seems to be no central message.
    Give me some ad copy that is larger an bolder, and maybe have a big link that tells me How It Works. I think you need to highlite a couple of the most important items so that viewers know where you want them click, and what you want them to read.

    What I would suggest doing is finding a successful website that does something similar to what yours does. Then look at their marketing strategy and the way they design their website... But then improve on that to make your own. Don't re-invent the wheel.

    I'll also agree with the others. You need to get rid of a lot of the options on the website. There are way too many...

    Look at ebays first page to see a page with many options but with a clear message. Like some people said before, you got to push the visitors to a path.

    I would say that, before pushing them to register give them a reason to do that: display more proeminent the categories to browse or the search box.

    Also, be sure not to look empty, put some auctions yourself or find sellers, otherwise your visitors will go away and not return.
