Marketing help on getting writers.

Ok, so here is my situation. I have a client who has had my company doing the design for their website SayItAloud.com and my design team has been going full board on it. I liked the idea of it and started putting articles in there myself. If an advertiser sponsors it, the writer gets paid half the money. I did the math and it was around $140 dollars per article if a writer gets picked up. Not bad considering I usually don't make more than $40.00 for my own works for my clients.

Well here is the problem. They came to me yesterday and told me that they wanted my company to do all the marketing for them. Nobody had even told me or my department that they were even considering it. So in a frantic daze I went online to look for writers and all I could find was a bunch of websites that wanted writers. If I had a couple of weeks I could probably do it myself, but they wanted writers yesterday and I figured I better come on here and ask for ideas from you guys at DP

Where are some of the best places for me to find writers? Was thinking about the colleges, but I would have to print flyers and distribute them out to all the schools.

    Ideas? Anyone??

You could post in BST, you could PM some of the writers on the copywriting forum, you could post an ad on Craigslist, you can post an ad on FreelanceSwitch.com, Absolutewrite.com, nojobformom.com, and a ton of other writing boards. You can also use Textbroker's writers to write, but you'd have to pay up front for that.

    Hope that helps!

It helped tons. I have over a hundred writers now and the website has flown up Alexa like nobody's business. Thank you Y.

On a side note, the customer's check bounced so I gave them 30 days to pay or I'm going to own SayItAloud.com, lol.

Craigslist ads are usually pretty heavily responded to. Has that been the most successful ad?
