so i'm the owner of FreelancerStore.com and it's a freelance website. besides getting the site on top of the search engines and doing pay per click, what other marketing options should i look into?

Forum marketing. I think this is where you will get most of your members from. People on forums are either looking to hire or looking to get new business.

Hire people to help you spread the word - create accounts where even freelancers get paid to refer others to the site ;-)

 

which kind of sites do you recommend?

 

Purchasing blog reviews off blogs directly such as Profit Baron or going to ReviewMe to get a blog review of your service will help too

 

You can do some group mailing and social bookmarking.

even i recently bought a similar one: FreelanceBidz.com
but planning to sell it as i don\'t have that eagerness to start working on this niche.

I think, you can sell any digital products on your site.

i like the domain name emelie. it's a hard niche to get into as i have found out but people are starting to place projects on my site every day now.
