    Hi all,

I'm looking for advice from anyone that has ever run a competition? I have one on my forum and I'm looking to market it in any way possible to get the most out of it.

    Thanks

Well I already had a Twitter account with 400 followers, so have used that. My facebook pages don't have many likes, but I posted it on there. I've changed my sig on here and asked for advice on other forums. Also, I tried searching "add a competition" and added to a couple of sites. I'll just keep checking analytics and if they bring in traffic I'll add it to more.

Make sure that you have the right content that will attract the users to your site. Look for promotional features that will keep the users busy once they get to your site but will not distract them from their main reason of visiting. These odd little tricks can keep a user busy and maybe he will bring new traffic as well.
