has anyone been successful to market during the holidays? either selling physical goods via ebay or ecommerce or any digital products. Since some or more customers look to local stores to buy their christmas gifts and presents.

I want to try something with affiliates, but I do not see anything hopeful

just want to know anyones outcome tryin to market during the holidays has been successful(any marketing, selling physical or digital products etc)

I've found marketing between Christmas and New Years has been quite profitable. Throw in a "holiday price reduction", people are in a good mood generally, and with the new year approaching are often looking to start something new.

    Think self improvement ebooks

    Best of luck

I would say enough people shop online during the holiday season to make it worthwhile. Like anything else in marketing though, it depends on your niche and target market. For example, if you're selling fitness equipment, pushing it during December could be great... use the angle of discounts combines with spending post-Christmas gift money and with new year's resolutions (just think about how gyms push sales then). Even if you're selling an internet marketing ebook or other kind of informational product, you could have good luck. A lot of people go into the new year with dreams of finally working for themselves, and if you can use an angle of it being a resource to help them, it could do ok. I'd promote more during the holidays rather than less in most situations.

I gave you an example of an ebook that could be marketed well during the holiday already. Informational or physical doesn't really matter. What matters is the niche, whether you can tie it to the time of year somehow, etc.

Only today I added a line to my site under the headline about making the goal my product delivers their new years resolution - it's a fitness/self-improvement product. ..and doesn't everyone wish the next year will be better than the last?
