I need help marketing my blogs in my siggy. I am starting to feel if people may be getting confused from my 2 different blogs. I am not sure how to market and brand myself. I feel like I need one steady image. I feel like I keep changing. I really have not decided on how I want to run my blogs. I feel like there should be some general structure so my readers will not get lost with what I am doing. Example ..my blog about student loans....right now im mostly focusing on paying non student loan debt but im writing about it on my no more student loans blog...is this a problem some times on my grad sch blog ...i write about my finances...they really overlap a lot because ...i want my loans paid off before i even go to grad school Should I consolidate everything into one big blog and just have different sections about student loans and my work life and everything?
Come up with a tag line for your blog, such as "Blogtitle - The latest in antivirus news." Once you have that tag-line (single sentence that describes the content of your blog), make sure every one of your posts follows in suite with the tag-line. If a user is coming to your page for "the latest in poker strategies" then they wanna know how to win at poker- not what new poker website has the best bonuses.
You need a plan. To extend on craze3's advice write down exactly what your blog is about and what you want to say. I would recommend that you keep all blogs seperate as it allows more focus advertising, marketing and users. A good way to do this is to picture and write down exactly who you are writing for. Student Loans is obviously for people between 20-25, both male and female, educated etc etc. Once you know who your writing for you can begin focusing on helping them with your knowledge. Having said that IMO a blog is all about growth that is why you can put your post into categories. Naturally your blog will grow and expand into other areas so if it is helpful to your target audience then write it even if it is slightly off topic.
Find a few sites that are similar to yours or your audience, and advertise your site on that... it would require investment
no offense if you cant think of your own basic plan then there is no point in doing it. a plan is what all great blogs or sites start at but then they ask questions like how to market in what channels and what techniques. If you cant get your own plan together no one can. we may be able to give you a few simple ideas to help your plan but other than tat this forum is for ways to market better
The best way to market a blog is by doing SEO. The best advise I could give you is to have a keyword.
