Marketing an e-book with a small search volume

I have an e-book that has a very small niche, so it has very little search volume. Because of this I don't think an organic marketing method would be very helpful (seo and such).

Do you guys have any advice for FREE traffic building to a site that probably won't get any search?

find where people are discussing topics associated with your ebook.

forums are a good place....once you strat, over time you will find other places and what works.

if there is such a low search volume, is there a market for it???

    Forums are good.
Write some articles and distribute through a submission service such as isnare or UAW.
Create and autoblog with a little broader topic than your niche and use an autoresponder or subscription to generate a list.
Is it a niche that could gain interest if it was marketed to a slighly broader target market?

Trying searching on Twitter for people talking about your subject. Just leave them a tweet about your book and ask them to retweet it.

First off if there is such a small search volume
Is your book really in need?
Can yo actually market it and make money?

Those two questions should be answered before anything else.

If you answered yes then you should look for forums
There are forums in every possible niche you can imagine
Go on and see what people's problems are
solve them and lead them towards your book.

Write a ton of articles that are about different sections in your book
The sections of your book may have a higher search volume
    than the book itself

This way you can still get your word out and attack a higher
search volume area by breaking it down into articles.

Another good way is to offer your book as
    a free incentive.
Offer it at a squeeze page where you can give it away
for the exchange of the customer's info

This way you can market other products or services
    to them again and again

You need to figure out how people would find you if they are not doing searches. I agree forums if there are any would be a great place to start. Not sure if articles would help much if people don't do searches for your niche.

If you are selling through someone such as clickbank then you could ask site owners in your niche if they would like to market it for you for a commission.
