Marketing a video game fansite

    I recently opened two video game fansites based on wordpress. I'm wondering what the best way is to market them. So far all ive done is started posting on some xbox 360 forums with the links in my sig and added them to wikipedia. Unsure of what else to do.
    PS. WIll be submitting to directories soon

    I currently have a Video Game blog up,
    Am I the only one here that thinks that directory submission is over-rated
    I havent since any rewards from any directories.

    My advise, Partners Links I got some decent traffic from those,
    Digg.com helps for spikes, but thats just temp. traffic comes and goes IMO

    Anyone else?

    Directory links for higher search engine ranking i think, not counting on any direct traffic
