Hey, I'm interested in some techniques for advertising/promoting a personal service. I'm a professional PHP freelancer with a new portfolio that I want "out there" if you catch my drift. Obviously referring clients to it and posting links to it on project sites is always good, but I'm open for a few more suggestions. All input is welcome. Thanks.
I suggest to join some PHP related forum (or post to programming section here at DP). By helping others you can show your expertise. All people looking for help in forums are your potentional clients ...so don't forget to setup signature link pointing to your website.
You can try the buy sell section on different forums. Also classified ads sites could be your great resource.
