Hey guys, I just wanted some advice on how you would go about marketing a new website. I produce a daily comic and have started to upload it to a website, amongst other things. I get any where from 50-150 regular unique hits a day.

I really would like to spread the word about the website but am somewhat unsure of which roads to go down. I don't want to spend a fortune on advertising as being a student my budget is somewhat limited.

So far all I have really done is tell my friends, post a note on facebook and put a comic and link in my sig. I have also made it so that if people want to place a comic in their sigs or on their site then it is easy for them to get the bb code or html to do so. Hopefully people will do this and it will spread the word a bit.

Other plans include creating an RSS Feed and writing an application to display the latest comic on your facebook profile.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how I should go about getting the site off the ground and getting a larger viewing audience?

The link is in my sig. Thanks for any advice you can offer :)

    Plenty of options for you.

Join forums, join mailing lists (yahoo/google groups). Give advice then ask people to review your comic.

You could probably even use deviantart. Just comment on others' pictures and they'll check your page in return.
