Hi, I am trying to work out ways in which I can gain more views for a friends music video. He for the most part is unknown - and the cycle of attempting to obtain publicity whilst lacking the funds for a 'professional' publicity campaign is difficult to work around. The video is now uploaded to youtube but because nobody really knows much about the artist, views are slow to arrive. The video has been submitted to a fair few blogs who promote this kind of music - so hopefully the blogs will generate a little traffic. Any advice? Thank you guy's for any help given.
You can try buying yourself some Youtube traffic and getting into the top viewed of the day in some categories. This generally leads to people checking out the video just because it has so many views, though I haven't tried it out myself.
You could "tag" the videos with more popular tags, to make sure you get in the "related videos" section of videos who have a lot of views.
