Marketing a Music Video Review Site

I am working on a new site veebox . ca and need help marketing it. It has great original content written by a friend of mine but I'm not sure how to get people to the site to read the content. Any ideas?

I would try to think of sites that cater to people who like that ascerbic/snarky brand of humor. Then find a way to get notice of your site there, whether from a paid ad, asking owner to mention you, forum posts, etc.

Also can you get the .com and redirect that and .ca to the same content? Not all US users know what the .ca extension is and it might make them hesitate.

 

the .com isn't available- but I have many successful sites with the .ca extension so I am not too worried about that.

 

Upload some music vids to YouTube watermarked with you website address.

 

Just spit balling here, but what if you were to start giving awards such as the monthly little stinky award for the worst video of the month and the yearly big stinky award for the worst video of the years (according to Veebox). Then you could do major press releases every month about your picks.

 

try some of the tube scripts to increase traffic
