    I just made a website for a landscape co. Are there any sites which specialize in advertising based on a geographic area?

    I would say Craigslist or Kijiji is your best bet. Most local businesses find great success through them.

    What about the yellow pages both online and print.

    I think for a landscaping business this would be a good investment/strategy.

    Craigslist, Kijiji are as mentioned above are other great choices.

    Try Yellowbook.com & see the link on my signature as well... Also, have the company place ads in local papers, distribute flyers and make announcements on local TV & Radio stations.

    Make sure to have the local business show up in the serps under Google. Google allows local businesses to list with them now.

    I would say don't forget about SEO. You even can't imagine how easy it is to rank a local business in SERPs.

    Use "keyword" + "location". I have done it myself, and it is extremely easy to rank good in SERPs with local business.
