I have been following most of the methods posted about here, such as building backlinks, submitting to directories, submitting articles, etc. www.hookahreviews.net I am only getting about 40-50 unique hits a day, my site is about a month old. I have on conversion so far for $11 so I made my money back on the domain but that's it so far. Any suggestions on what I can do to increase traffic, and thus increast sales?
After a month I think that´s pretty good. Keep on building backlinks for your keywords, try to get quality rather than quantity.
So 40 uniques a day after a month is good? I figured I would be getting much more. I am ranked on the 1st page for my main keyword phrase, but not ranking well for my main single keywords yet. For "hookah reviews" I am on the first page, along with some more specific keywords like "starbuzz reviews"
PhxKarma, you should no follow your tag cloud + archive links when your not on the homepage, and also change the settings for your short post descriptions to be longer, the more content you provide on your pages, the better they will rank, and they will rank for more keywords because of the increased content. P.s. It seems like your conversion ratio is also a problem, I would try to focus making your website more like a store with friendly colored prices and buy buttons, with much more content to display.
What do you mean no follow my tag cloud? How do I change that? My affiliate was very clear about NOT using buy buttons and making my site look like a store, or else they would not approve me. I barley was able to do the "buy hookahs" and "buy shisha" sections.
Traffic wise, you are in great shape. Short term, I would put some sort of button under the social networking icons that leads to the BUY HOOKAHS page since I imagine that generates the highest return when someone does make a purchase. Might as well make it extra easy for people to get to your high ticket items.
Do you think I should work on the buy hookahs page as well? I know them images need to be redone since I lose quality moving them over. I am going to try something like this, thanks for the advice .
