I do a show from my home studio. Its going very well, but I want to blow it out of the water. I've been in radio - successful commercial radio - for 18 years. The show sounds fine. I just want to know where I should start marketing it online. ANY help you can throw into the ring would be *SO** very appreicated. THANKS!
There is a website called UStream.tv that allows you to do live video shows or whatever you want to call it. I have seen a lot of people using that to take their shows and business to the next level. Also if you haven't started using video yet to promote your show and yourself, then that is also another great place to get traffic to your site and your show.
Okay, will look at that site. What's a good site or service to advertise that the show is on, what it is, who *I* am, etc. so that I can get more people to the URL where the show is? Thanks BTW!
I usually generate traffic to my website by making videos and put them up on different hosting sites like youtube, as well as blogging, and different forums and social networking sites like myspace. Those are my main ways. They key though is to know who your target market is. Who are the people you are wanting to reach, and where do those kinds of people hang out? When you know who and where your target market is then it a lot easier to generate traffic to wherever you want them to go. An important point though in using these social networking sites is to build relationships with the people. Don't just flat out advertise. People buy people so you need them to build their trust in you by allowing them to get to know you and communicating with them. Add as much value as possible without blatant advertising.
I already do the video thing on a few sites and am getting a GREAT amount of people to the site. THOUSANDS are going to the site, but I want more people to go to the live show. I'm getting between 200 and 350 per show. I want that number around a 1,000.
