I'm going to put a website on web with its own tld. But before it goes online i want to market it...so when goes online it doesn't just sit there waiting for nothing... Are there any kind of strategies i can follow to accomplish this?
It would be great if you can tell us what kind of website you will be targeting. It is not easy to backup what you are saying as marketing some site which do not exist is highly impossible. I mean without any site, what you are going to market? Your domain ???
Do a link development, so when site comes up it will already have a backlinks. It will be hard, because who will link to nothing? It will take out value by SE from site if link goes nowhere.
Try a squeeze page. It explains your site and if people respond to it you will have secured a new customer.
You could also create free blogs or squidoo pages and write about what's coming. Rewrite a few relevant plr articles and create some buzz. If you're launcing a new service or software, say something about the benefits - without mentioning the link. You could eventually estimate when you're launching the link in order to encourage your visitors to return later on.
How do you get visitors to read your blog? Is writing a blog the same as article writing? I'm new to blog marketing and would like to know where to go to learn about it.
