    Hi,

I run a free web hosting company for over 6 months now, and i got banned from adnsense(I belive it was sabotage, but they woudn't understand).

Now i'm looking for other ways to make some proffit out of it..
Contextual ads are not what i have in mind, as don't want to stress my users.
I have about 3000 accounts, however, about 300 of them are used properly.. the rest are junk.

Now i'm using inline ads from adbrite and i'm making about 3$/day... wich is not too much...

I was thinking about Link sales, on all web sites i host...but will be only class C links, so i guess they won't have a great value on google...

What other systems can i use, to monetize my host?

    Thanks

    try selling banner impressions?

track how many hits you get in a day (on the ads), then show people on DP, and sell banner spots that rotate lets say... every 5 times?

    so 5 banners?

What country is the traffic from? You may want to try affiliate offers.

You might want to give WidgetBucks a try, they are a new PPC program. Or you could try Yahoo or MSN Advertising networks.

If adsense worked for you in the past, and you want to go back, here's a little trick that may work for you....

Create another site. Use a friend's debit card to pay. On this new site talk about free Web hosting, and other stuff that may appeal to potential customers. Then have a "click here" or something like that which then takes them to your original site.

But, put your banned URL in only after they approve you.

I can understand. Having the right kind of ads that pull people in can be tricky. But isn't it better to use a cheap form of advertising, like ads in search engines, than on actual websites???

    It's better to lose $20, than over a $100.

I tell wanna-be advertises to use cheap search engine ads to test their site and their product. If they aren't getting any sales, after, say, a few hundred hits, they need to go back to the drawing board. Once they get the sales they are looking for, THEN move up to more expensive advertising.

And, yes, you are going to have to advertise if you want to make enough to pay your bills.

There ain't no way around it, brother.

    Anyway, good luck out there.

I am advertising on adwords... however, my topic was about making money from my host, not promoting it... as i get 50-60 new accounts daily...

    thanks

Promote your competitor's web hosting service and related products but make sure there is an affiliate program. I presume you have captured their email address. Start doing email broadcasting at times offering them good deals such as paid web hosting, website design ebooks, etc.
