    Hello,

What are the best ways of marketing an eBook on "Ethical Hacking". The following things I've tried but due to this being a small niche.I've not been able to get satisfactory results.

    1. Product Review through Blogs - I've been able t find only a few good websites which were willing to offer paid reviews. (Please suggest me on how to find more.)

    2. Affiliates- I have an affliates program but it has been a disasters as I do not know where and how to get people willing to sell it.

    3. SEO - I have optimized by getting paid services for keywords. Its still in the process.

Please suggest if you have any other ideas and tips. And mainly, if you have any practical solutions on how to get more of paid reviews and affiliates.

    Regards,
    Sai

You can market your e-book trough blog. There are numerous blogs, websites, newsletters, and social media pages that specifically review and promote e-books.

There is no one place where you should market this ebook. This niche is no different then thousands of other niches and you need to market across several mediums to establish a digital footprint on the internet.

Ethical hacking is really an interesting topic as there are many businesses and government-related organizations who hire experienced hackers as penetration testers.

If you can really teach ethical hacking, you should do very well.

Set up your own blog & write articles on the subject. If you run out of content, try branching out into another related area (i.e. sub-niche?)

Have an opt-in box embedded into your blog to capture leads.

To get more traffic, try converting your article into a PowerPoint video presentation & post on Youtube (also alternate between word articles & videos & post both to your blog. Google loves videos!)

Set up a Fan page on your Facebook & use PPC marketing to get Likes on your fan page. Promote your blog through your fan page.

As well as a blog, have a stand-alone sales page for your product. You can get affiliates by signing up for Clickbank (or JVZoo), MunchEye.com & JVNotifyPro.com.

    Hi,

I do have the features that you mentioned. Probably a blog is something that I have to consider.

You should definitely do a blog.
An eBook is a good incentive for people to opt-in.

May I ask how is your affiliate program set up?

PM me with a link to your book, I might want to buy it myself.

In regards to marketing a hacking ebook, go checkout hackforums(i know... i know), blackhatworld and all those "hacker forums", post a thread in their "for sale" category, pretty much all of them have one.

Hackforums isn't exactly for newbie hackers. Marketing a beginner's ethical hacking eBook on a Hacking Forum isn't a good idea. I did try blackhatworld. No positive response there as well.

Don't take this personally, but hackforums is filled with talentless scriptkiddies who probably don't even know what TCP is.
it's worth a shot to market to hackforums.

Haha! I agree. There are lots of skiddies out there. But that's my biggest worry. They'll leech it for free once some one downloads.Hence not a very reliable source.

Don't underestimate writing a Kindle book in conjunction with your blog. Your book will make sales for you plus send readers to your blog. Two income streams!
