Not to sound like a stuck record here, but, for the most part, you have to advertise. That's the "best marketing method." Just about everything else does not work. You want to start off with ads in sites that single guys go to as they are easier to get. Put in pictures of nice-looking girls for them to meet. If you have good tips for singles to meet, advertise them to as a hook to bring them in. Do the same with article marketing, and whatnot. Perhaps put a quick tip underneath the picture of the girl, and then your url.
I find that Google Adwords provides the best bang for the buck. I pay an average of .12 cents a click (prices will vary) and I know that money is sending an actual person to my site. I began with business cards, banner ads, local posters and signs, etc., but it's hard to know how many people are actually visiting my site from seeing these ads. For example, if you are paying .10 cents a business card, how many does it take to get on person to actually visit your site. It could take a lot more than just one. Of course SEO is vital. I began by going to my public library and taking out all the books I could find on Search Engine Optimization and Website Marketing. I then met with a local website and seo company. It turned out I had learnt more than they knew. Keyword research, onsite optimization, and link building are critical if you want to attain visitors through organic search results.
