How do you market a clothing line online? There's myspace marketing, etc, etc, etc, adwords, etc I'm mainly looking into marketing it through the website. Would it be wise to mix in your clothing line (shop, etc) with other things relating to the target audience? Ex) my clothing line will be relating to indie rock, tattoo culture, etc. So if I mixed in some news about those related niches, would it benefit my site in any way? What would be the pros and cons?
I think that adding related content and news would definitely help attract more people to your clothing site, as long as the content doesn't overshadow the main purpose of your site, which would be to sell clothes.
it sounds like you hvae a great opportunity. You could draw people into your site by blogging or otherwise posting information about movies, music, personalities etc in the indie culture. Make your site a great place for like minded people to hang out and I am sure the sales will follow
