Marketing a classifieds website....advice needed.

    Hi,

    Ive just launched an aquatic classifieds website and looking for some advice on marketing it.

    Done the obvious with submiting to SE's and a few large directories and got a few aquatic sponsors on board...

    But what would be the best option to market this site.

    Has anyone else had good experience with marketing a classifieds website ?

    Optimize it for few potential keywords and try out placing banner/text ads.

    Try working your way into Social Networking groups that share the same NICHE/Interests. Such as Groups - Yahoo, FB, Myspace, etc. Pay 10-20 bucks to a Mod or Admin and have he or she blast a PM to the members.
