Can anyone telling me what is researching tools for ebay? If possible, I would like to find something which is free. Please help if you know the answer. Thanks

Terapeak is probably the best known eBay research tool. They offer free and paid versions. The free version limits the data available to you to what has happened over the last 14 days.

Do you mean using Ebay as a research tool for niches? Or to see which products to buy / sell? etc?

That is a great question, but be aware, ebay is not fair. They shut down my listings and asked me not to relist, but there are others selling the same thing all over their site. Go figure. I am not a fan of ebay as you can tell, as this was completely discriminatory in my mind. Good luck with your products....
