Mark Webber wins British GP

After out dragging his team mate to the first corner Mark Webber took a flag to flag victory and told his Team Boss, 'not bad for a No 2 driver' meaning he had the new nosecone taken off his car and given to Sebastian Vettel his team mate. He was also still smarting from being blamed when the two came together at a previous GP.

Hamilton was a good 2nd whilst Button drove a good race to come 4th, not bad from 14th on the grid.

Why is it that Button has such good races when he qualifies horribly? I mean I was watching the race yesterday and every time button starts far back on the grid he ends up absolutely tanking other drivers and getting a good result! Does he have some sort of bad mental approach when he qualifies well? Thats what the commentators said anyway and I think its quite true as well.

But I thought that the comment 'not bad for a No 2 driver' was pretty low and shows how childish he can be at times.

I see what you mean but Horners congratulations was not exactly over enthusiastic, even Eddie Jordan commented on it.
Jenson is a very smooth driver who looks after his engine and tyres very well. He makes good starts and can push when he needs to although he was told that he had low fuel towards the end. Maybe that was to stop him pushing as Martin Whitmarsh had promised something substantial if he got on the podium.

Well Dcristo, glad to see you are so positive, as for me, I think it is too close to call. The might of McLaren will not be sitting on their asses whilst Red Bull romps away and Ferrari can never be ignored. With Webber and Vettel so close there is always the possibility that they will knock each other off again. Button and Hamilton are never usually so close to each other so may keep their noses clean although Hamilton does have an uncanny knack of shooting himself in the foot.

It is going to be an interesting year.

vettel dissapointed me a little with this problem with front wing,
and i never was for button or hamilton....never were and never will...this race was bad for ferrari and it makes me sad, very sad.
