Me? I never said anything about him being next President, he hasn't got a hope in hell. Clintons next Pres as I predicted months ago.

Of course thanks to the controlled mainstream media he (Ron Paul) never had a chance from the beginning because he was virtually ignored by all the MSM, but I'm a huge fan of him because he is the only one that is not a controlled CFR puppet and certainly the only one that will save America from the disaster it is heading to.

I mean look at Insane McCain saying that he's willing to keep troops in Iraq for 100 years when nearly 75% are against the Iraq invasion for Christs sake. It's utter insanity that he's going to get the vote. Clinton will also keep them over there for as long as the people controlling her tell her to.

You need to start waking up before it's too late mate, although sadly I fear it already is too late.

I dunno AGS. Pat Buchanan had this to say about McCain, and it should really give people pause, because the cowboy mentality can be heroic, and tragic.

I've got no respect for McCain. His actions and voting record on domestic issues over the years scare the hell outta me.

Short of massive fraud, McCain will not get the nomination or presidency.

But that in itself is scary given how the 2000 and 2004 elections went down.

If McCain gets the nomination, given his age, watch to see who the VP is. That's going to be the real string puller.

Of course, a McCain nomination serves my interests in a backwards way, because it would break up the GOP and allow it to coalesce again around a younger, brighter vision that is true to it's roots, and become a real alternative to the Democratic party.

It's not healthy to have 3 out of the 4 candidates running as war hawks, when 70% of the people want to end the war.

It is clearly time for a conservative party to be strongly established and run its own candidate against dems and repubs!

That will make it the biggest disaster of all, I'm still utterly astonished at all these flag waving lunatics still supporting candidates that are so pro-war, even after all the disasters of late (especially Iraq) and the fact that 70% of people want to end the war.

It drives me mad, and I'm not even American.

Surely Insane McCain would run with his bum chum Giuliani wouldn't he guerilla? Two utterly insane war crazed lunatics together, both equally as crazy as each other.

I'm thinking that McCain might do something crazy and run with that Independent Democrat guy (whose name eludes me right now). John McCain has absolutely zero loyalty to the party, platform, or tradition.

Yeah, that guy. Absolutely cannot stand him.

Thank God for Ron Paul. At least there is one "real" candidate still running.

Moonbats aren't a special interest group?

    I concur on both points.

McCain grabs the center from Hillary. An enormous number of Americans from the left and center have severe negative reactions to Hillary.

McCain is a palatable choice to these people, especially with Joe Lieberman as his running mate.

The more conservative Republicans would not have this appeal to the center.

    Definitely. 100%.

Sorry, but that's just a bizarre fantasy of yours. It's not any more reality than any of your other dreams.

That's another unrealistic dream of yours. It's not going to happen in your lifetime. Wake up and get on with your life.

Obama can't even beat Hillary for the nomination.

Of all the current Republican candidates, McCain has the best odd of winning the presidency -- if he wins the primary.

Now, as to whether he should win the primary -- that's another question entirely.

Too many people in this thread are getting "what is" confused with "what they want."

    Very very true.

Probably. And possibly she is a better option than McCain.

McCain would be an insanely effective legislator. Hillary is a contentious power-hungry tool with almost no experience.

Which is worse? A person who is half-bad and very effective, or a person who is all bad and extremely ineffective?

Ron Paul never had a chance because few Americans believe that we need Ron Paul to save us from the lizard people.

McCain currently has a strong lead on the nomination.

Do you believe that this is because of fraud?

    Get a grip on yourself.

If McCain gets the nomination, given his age, watch to see who the VP is. That's going to be the real string puller.

A broken up GOP would control only a very small voting block -- effectively handing the nation over to the Democrats.

The GOP only works because it is a coalition of four different groups of voters. Break that alliance up and you have no effective competition to the Democratic Party.

    Based on perception, or reality?

When you have a candidate which only appeals to party loyalty and one of those groups, that's what you are flirting with. That is what this thread is about.
