MarioKartWii.com was created in 2006 and has grown to be the largest forum in the world for Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7 players.

The forum boasts 87,000+ threads, 4.4+ million posts and over 54,000 members. During it's peak time of the summer the forum reaches over 3 million pageviews per month. Traffic during the off season has remained around 2.4 to 2.5 million pageviews per month.

Monetization

We begin monetizing the forum earlier this year. What started out as just adsense now consists of Adsense, PostRelease, Q1Media, Intergi, Skimlinks, Paid Subscriptions and Vibrant Media image/text. We will work with you to have your own account created with the following: Post Release, Q1Media, Intergi, Skimlinks and Vibrant Media.

We run only three display advertisements on each page. One 728x90, one 300x250 and one 160x600.

Community

The community is hands off from the owners standpoint. If you would like to see our contribution to the community, please feel free to send me a message and I will provide our usernames. The community is run by one non paid Admin and then a staff of non paid moderators who are very loyal to the site and community.

Costs

There are no costs associated with this site other than hosting. It is currently hosted on a server that also hosts 20 other of my forums. The forum should run find on a mid-level VPS.

Not listed in this auction is another web property we own in the Wii niche. WiiFriends.com will be included if Buy It Now is used. WiiFriends.com is a 15,054 thread, 391,889 post and 20,703 member forum dedicated to all things Wii. It is not monetized and runs vBulletin 4.

Licenses

All major software licenses are expired and/or either untransferable. With that said, we are happy to work with the buyer to keep the licenses pointed to the domain for 3 months after the purchase of the website(s).

The major licenses are vBSEO and vBulletin. We may be able to transfer smaller 3rd party licenses that are used. If not, again, we will work with you to keep them pointed to the domain(s) to accommodate you.

Final Thoughts

We have put the Buy It Now in a 4x yearly income range taking into consideration the current growth of income coupled with the year to year growth that the site has experienced. We feel this is more than fair for a site that has very little competition and continues to grow. No legal issues with the forum. Large corporations generally don't go after fan sites unless they are selling merchandise that offends their trademark. My first forum I ever created was MustangEvolution.com and I ran that 8 years with no problems while working directly with Ford on certain promotions.
