It's a waste of time, the Americans don't even care about bringing people to justice for killing ALLIED FORCES so what chance does some Iraqi family have?

If British lives mean nothing to the US then Iraq civilian losses mean even less. It is utter madness that someone not being a US citizens life is worth any less.

 

Bringing people to justice would mean that they intended to do it, it was an accident, plain & simple, now have a rest...

 

Actually, we also have convictions based on gross negligence resulting in 'accidents' as well, so I don't see a problem with an investigation into potential negligence. If we investigate these problems when they crop up, and punish negligence if, and when it is found, they're less likely to happen in the future.

Yes. It would happen somewhere. Al Qaeda decided to attack Iraq after the coalition intervention, but if not -- they would have simply attacked elsewhere.

That's a tactical solution to a strategic problem. It's really sophomoric to think in terms that simple. The real issue is much larger, and will not be resolved by getting rid of OBL or by any action in Afghanistan.
