Hello With all the Legalization in America, I have some questions as a webmaster, I have seem many forums, YouTube channels and so on start to grow like weeds.... Are we allowed to sell websites that have pictures of marijuana on them etc? Like "how to grow marijuana" articles websites or "rate that bud" kinda thing...... I was wondering what the law / forum rules were on that? Also what about domain sales with marijuana as the keywords....is that legal? Todays news, just as a reference point.... So in the "old days" Marijuana was BAD , EVIL , Now its legal to smoke and buy in two states... What the internet / forum rules with this ? Thanks in advance., Joseph
Moved to Legal Issues because the discussion extends beyond this one forum. Some countries will have more liberal laws than others. I wonder if hosting a pro dope site in a less liberal country/state would have ramifications for the site owner and users?
Okay cool, I just wanted to know as I did not want to get in trouble Good Question and BTW - How the heck do you multiquote on this software? PS - Thanks for moving it
Multi-quote is part of XenForo 1.3 which we haven't upgraded to yet... http://xenforo.com/community/threads/editor-toolbar-spoiler-bb-code-and-multiquote.66976/
posting pictures and stories isn't illegal, at least if you are not doing it in Hong Kong, China, Russia, North Korea, etc. You can also write a disclaimer like "we don't encourage making and selling drugs etc. All the materials here are gathered/submitted for mediacl informatin purposes only". Smth like that
Is AdSense now cool with dope-related ads? In the past the keywords like marijuana, dope, etc. would stop servicing ads to your pages. Do they now show dope-related ads in Oregon but not in Florida?
cant get more funnier than this Imagine driving from New Jersey (legal) to NY (illegal) Are you going to throw away all the crap in the trunk before entering NY?
"yes - its LEGAL in 16 states out of the 48" - LOL, democracy is spreading thru the States, yah? ))))
This is the same analogy - certain clubs are only allowed in states like Texas and Indiana and not in other states (if you know what I mean)
We can hang out any time BTW - TO The other guy We are talking about BUILDING WEBSITES about it,.......not transportation of such product LOL --- You kinda Streeeeeeectrched my point
I'll throw my 2cents in about MJ sites. I live in Colorado and have seen the MJ commercial scene boom over the last few years. When dispensaries first started a few years ago the first ones on the scene made money hand over fist.. I have given bids for websites to a few dispensary owners most were cheap skates, scammers and low grade business people. I never sold one website to a dispensary so far. I had a few that wanted to “pay later” “investment partner” and other BS. Many of the early dispensaries were more solid investors bought decent marketing plains(websites, branding, etc) but most were cheap and made their own stuff, had friends do it, or low paid labors. If I had it to do over again I would probably build a targeted website for MJ dispensaries websites and marketing. We have had probably close to 1000 dispensaries set up shop on the front range of Colorado in the last few years, it would of been worth making a site for. This is a big wave coming for most of the rest of the nation if you get the right stuff and are at the forefront there is probably money to be made.
Yeh, man, it's a big piece of pie huffingtonpost: $1.53 billion: The amount the national legal marijuana market is worth, according to a Nov. 2013 report from ArcView Market Research, a San Francisco-based investor group focused on the marijuana industry. $10.2 billion: The estimated amount the national legal marijuana market will be worth in five years. $6.17 million: The amount of tax revenue collected in Colorado on legal marijuana sales in just the first two months of 2014. $98 million: The total tax revenue that Colorado could reap in the fiscal year that begins in July
