So I came up with this idea last week, wish I'd have thought of it a month ago. My cousin and I decided we're going to Mardi Gras. Only problem, we don't have the money to go. Sooo.... Decided to look for sponsorship of the trip! Basically we're going to wear t-shirts with domain names or other designs, and get others to wear t-shirts. Also we're going to do stuff like paint a domain name on our car, or whatever else might gain exposure. It's not a bad idea at all. But chances are good everyone who reads your shirt will be drunk, so they may not remember the advertisements after Mardi Gras .
Yeah they might all just party and party, but it is worth a try, as all you need is one 5 second shot of you on a TV news or satellite channel and the T-Shirts suddenly become Hot
Not to mention, as soon as we sell this whole thing out, the site will likely start getting some good attention. I'm definitely wanting to work that angle as well. (i.e. anyone with a link should get some decent traffic, and anyone who buys anything from me gets a link.) Would make a good digg story and the such.
