Well Today Maoist attacked once again and killed innocent civilians .. what do you people think about .. shouldn't indian government send an army and finish this for once and for all. Some information about Maoist recent attacks http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...acks-in-last-2-years-/articleshow/5941399.cms
Yeah govt should do this but I think Maoists are more powerful than terrorists coz the no which new channels are showing in news are more than the attacks of other terrorists. Government should talk with them and bring solution what they need if their demand is genuine than the government should fulfill their needs and if not than should send army.
ya Maoism is outdated, but sadly oppression, rape etc etc hasnt been outdated. and it is only natural for common ppl to fight againt it. Maoism, Naxalism are just an umbrella for common ppl to fight the greater evil.
the link you have provided shows the Naxals have kill mostly policemen and crpf/sog. whats wrong with that giving the fact most of the police force is engaged in raping and looting and the govt is giving medals for their bravery (read rape). On December 22, 2009, after 19 years, 40 adjournments, and more than 400 hearings, the court finally pronounced Rathore guilty under Section 354 IPC (molestation) and sentenced him to six months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000.
Do u think govt has balls to take such bold action? Never in history congress has taken any bold action that could benifit india regarding security. Untill any extreme incident happens the wait will continue. Whatever action they plan, there will obviously be a politican gain thinking. According to me the naxals should be eliminated once for all like the lankan army did on LTTE. Never should any talks take place with naxals. If the govt comes forward to fulfill their demands then what is the value of hundreds of civilian lives the naxals have taken ? For all the terrorism they have done till today on innocent civilians lives, they deserve only death from our army.
Get your history right how Indira Gandhis Congress goverment brought an end to the khalistan movement...we need such an aggresive leader i guess
Easier said then done. Maoists are not a single organization or group. They are hundreds of small and big groups fighting for different reasons. Many are victims of police and administrative atrocities, others are tribals whose lands were forcibly taken away, some are just unemployed youth, who have nothing better to do and some are just plain dacoits. It is necessary to fight them, but killing them all won't be the end of violent Maoism in India. The government needs to rethink its policies. Unless something is seriously done to discipline the police and prevent land grabbing by powerful corporates and government agencies, more and more people will keep joining this mindless violence.
By killing Maoist is not the only solution as you said is right "Many are victims of police and administrative atrocities, others are tribals whose lands were forcibly taken away" those who have only source for their lively hood than at last they will take this step only as you know many area of India is taken away by China this kind of cases when Govt. does not take any action than the angry people will make this kind of groups and start harming general public and harm public place or transportation. I think Indian Govt. should take immediate action for this and try to stop this activities. As it will divide India in many regions.
Negotiating with terrorists seldom has positive long-term consequences. It's just rewarding people for behaving badly. Maoism is a failed ideology, but still a virulent one. Hell, look at the jackass the Americans elected as their current President.
I think you are right if Govt. fulfill their demands than its not sure that they will stop all these activities infact with that funds or help naxals may use this resources for more blasts. Other disadvantage is that other people will be motivated to do this kind of activities. There are some people who has logical reason why they have joined this kind of activites for them govt should think and get solution for those people only who have lost their land or not got the benefits which they should given. But for those who were robbers whose job was simply harassing people they should be treated badly thats fair enough for them.
Here's a quick overview of how Maoists have infected the highest levels of the United States government. Maoism A deep strain of Maoist thought has pervaded Barack Obama's influences throughout his life and has persisted in appointments he has made while serving as President. * The Honolulu Record, the newspaper Obama's mentor Frank Marshall Davis wrote for was accused of Maoist deviationism during the Sino-Soviet split by its CPUSA overlords.[144] * Obama fundraiser, personal friend, and past employer Professor William Ayers' teaching curricula relies heavily on material that use Mao Zedong, Josef Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, and Fidel Castro as authoritative sources.[145] Ayers has been a committed Maoist since at least 1969.[146] Ayers is said to have ghost written part of Barack Obama's autobiography, Dreams From My Father.[147] Ayers was a leader in the SDS's Maoist "Action Faction" which became the Weather Underground (WUO). Ayers, Jeff Jones, and Mark Rudd of Progressives for Obama paid homage to Anna Louise Strong, author of the The Thought of Mao Tse-tung,[148] after purging deviationist elements from the SDS leadership in 1969.[149] * Ayers wife, former FBI Top Ten Most Wanted terrorist Bernardine Dohrn worked in the Law Firm of Sidley Austin[150] in the late 1980s where Barack, Michelle Obama, and Dohrn first met. Dohrn participated in the purging of CPUSA elements from SDS leadership and declared the SDS National Office was henceforth responsible for the correct Marxist-Leninist line at the exclusion of non-Maoist deviationist forces. Dohrn held the position of Inter-Organizational Secretary in the SDS National Office. The Ayers/Dohrn faction of SDS formed the Weather Underground Organization. SDS Regional Community Organizer David Gilbert declared violent Third World revolution was the only way to achieve "world communism," the goal of WUO.[151] * SDS veteran and Progressives for Obama webmaster[153] Carl Davidson first met Barack Obama through the Chicago New Party, whose endorsement and campaign workers Obama sought and accepted in his run for the Illinois state senate in 1996. Davidson organized the October 2002 rally at Federal Plaza in Chicago[154] where Obama established himself as an eloquent anti-war spokesman. Davidson was a leading member of the October League (OL) and the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), or CP(M-L),[155] which was hailed by Chinese Communist Party chairman Hua Guofeng at banquet for CP(M-L) leaders in Beijing in 1977 as the semi-official Maoist party in the United States. Hua Guofeng declared the founding of the CP(ML) a “new victory of the Marxist-Leninist Movement in the U.S.â€[156] Davidson is a longtime supporter of the VVAW[157] whose chief spokesman John Kerry charged American servicemen with war crimes. The VVAW worked in collusion with North Vietnam and the Vietcong to organize a domestic insugency[158] and the defeat of the United States in Vietnam.[159] In 2004 Davidson said, "the U.S government, at least over the past 50 years, has been the chief terrorist and sponsor of terrorism in the world."[160] * ACORN founder Wade Rathke was an alumni of the Maoist dominated Students for a Democratic Society (SDS).[161] Obama told ACORN "during the transition, we're going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. We're going to be having meetings all across the country with community organizations so that you have input into the agenda for the next presidency of the United States of America."[162] * Obama Car Czar Ron Bloom declared himself in agreement with Chairman Mao and referred to the free market system as "nonsense."[163] * Obama appointee Van Jones was a founder[164] of the "often vulgar Maoist"[165][166] organization STORM. STORM's own literature describes the organization as laying a foundation to build "Third World communism." The group studied Lenin's theories of the state, revolution, the party, and "the political ideas of Mao Tse-tung."[167] According to the document, the "growing Maoist orientation" within the group was a factor contributing to internal strife and the group's eventual dissolution.[168] The document states that in addition to "the basics of Marxism, including dialectical materialism," it conducted "a group reading of Mao's On Practice and On Contradiction. We also pushed at or went beyond the limits of the traditional Marxist canon, studying such topics as revolutionary feminism, the Palestinian liberation struggle, transgender liberation, methods of evaluation, self-care for cadre and revolutionary mass [community] organizing."[169] The group was extensively involved in the community organizing movement.[170] In 1992 the premier Maoist organization in the United States, the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP),[171] an offshoot of SDS, was instrumental in fomenting riots in Los Angelas in which 58 people were killed, and more than 2,300 injured in the wake of the trial of four police officers charged with beating Rodney King.[172] Van Jones traveled from Connecticut to be on hand and was arrested in the aftermath.[173] Van Jones is also a founding board member of Apollo Alliance for clean energy and so-called "green-collar jobs." [42] Jeff Jones is the New York State director of Apollo Alliance. [43] Jeff Jones was a member of the Maoist Action Faction of SDS and along with Ayers and Dohrn co-authored Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-imperialism based on the Sayings of Chairman Mao. * White House Communications Office Director Anita Dunn.[174] Source: http://www.conservapedia.com/Barack_Hussein_Obama#Maoism
The main reason for any anti social activities held in any developing country is the developed countries. Very soon the solution should come otherwise many innocent people will be killed.
That attitude doesn't help at all. Blaming other countries for your problems accomplishes nothing. The solution won't come all on it's own, you have to create a solution and then implement it. Many innocent people have already been killed, that should cause the Indian people to have a sense of urgency.
innocent ppl always get killed. thats a hard fact of life. so no point complaining. taking about solutions, why dont you think Naxalism as a solution. look at the sorry state we are in. Indias worst industrial disaster happened some 25 years ago and a quack verdict came up today. can you image the horrors of the thousands who has gone through the Bhopal gas tragedy. if the gas had not killed them, the justice system surely had. and ya these are not isolated incidents. its a misconception on your part that Naxalism has no mass support. i am not a communist, far from it. but given the state i would even welcome the Taliban.
no need. I am living in a democracy and in a democracy I (and the rest of the common ppl) am the goat.
All the Taliban's have not suffered same as Naxal's the main intention on this Talibans is to follow the principles of Islam they consider "Kafir" to those who are following their principles or kill them but naxals are not doing this they are fighting for their rights.
The Muslims don't see their actions as evil either. Both groups are "fighting" for something they want, with absolutely no concern for the people they hurt in the process. The Maoists are committing cold blooded murder to get what they want. They are trading the lives of other human beings for their own selfish desires.
