short- server times out when trying to perform Restore Database function. I tried doing this in the phpBB Admin Control Panel- failed. Tried the Plesk Control Panel on the server- failed. The database is 65MB. I am not familiar with Shell access, I cannot seem to access the phpBB directory because it doesnt show in my FTP directory of the site, and the current hosting company isn't responding to my emails. The site at hand is a non profit support forum. It is the most recent version of phpBB 2.0.22, not beta. GOAL- simply to move all members, threads and posts from current server to a new server. but right now just getting the forum up and running again will do. longer story- In order to keep the site free, I am trying to switch it to my server. The current forum has been modded, the previous owner isn't helping and I can't unscramble the number of mods and locations that were added. I tried to move the existing database backup using bigdump.php and it failed. I have to assume it is the mods that are causing the issue. So, I tried removing any data that had been added to the stock installation of phpBB on the current server. This busted the forum. I now am stuck waiting for a reply from the hosting company. I used a mod to strip away any extra data from the SQL database, it is called clean_tables.php, downloaded that from the phpBB community (where I haven't been able to get any helpful replies). Anything I've neglected to post, just ask. I've been up for hours trying to find a clear answer online but haven't. Would love to avoid starting a forum up from scratch when all I need to do is keep the members and their posts. Any help/advice definitely appreciated!
