Many links on one high page rank article site, or one link from many lower page rank?

I am wondering if I should post more articles on sites such as squidoo or hubpages, or post single articles on the many other article sites with lower page ranks.

I realized it may not be black and white, but I'm wondering how to divide my article posting energy. If I have an article on squidoo and that article gets me a backlink to my site, does it help me to put more articles and hence more backlinks from squidoo?

If so, at what point does it become redundant? What would be the optimal number to post on a site with a high page rank?

Again, I realize it may not be so simple, but I'm just trying to flesh this out and better understand how the search engines give value to links in this context.

If your put many links on one high page rank article site, or one link from many lower page rank it will be same as page rank will be divided between all links. My suggestion is that you put your link on both high as well as low pr site.
