I have many high PR backlinks (most of them from one website, that have PR7 and many PR6,5,4 pages) and some other PR4 and 3 backlinks from other websites.but only PR1 for me on this PR update.why is that? i have the link on that website for more then a month, enough for backlinks to update. i used directory submission as well, and all other things to get backlinks. i don't know why so little PR for me. what do you think?
Have you checked your backlinks on yahoo.com or altavista.com? Because i've had links on websites for months now and google still hasn't found them.
First check dat ur backlinks are approved for confirmation or not. coz it may possible dat u r doing n no. of submission in many dir. but from their side ur site is in pending status. or update ur link page and sitemap in webmaster daily and set a high priority for link page in sitemap.
You may also have to check if those backlinks are dofollow or nofollow if they are nofollow thenthey are of no use. Secondly there are chances your site are not indexed on google or google hasn't yet updated your page rank and may take some time to see changes.
I saw many blogs without much links they have high PR. You should have good content + Good links + Links to the internal pages of blog. If you are building links only for one page. This will create overall imbalance in main page and internal pages.
Your backlinks seem pretty unrelated and I spotted "Your link here? Contact admin@......" I would remove this and the link to the other site if you want Google to take your site seriously
It is not necessary that if you have more backlink that your page rank will increase, so you must have good content which will help in improving your page rank.
why should i remove the link to the other website? also,PR has nothing to do with "Your link here? Contact admin@......" but thanks for the advice
>> why should i remove the link to the other website? See this video by Matt Cutts: Can my blogroll affect my blog's reputation in Google? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqcfbSqYfJ4 >> also,PR has nothing to do with "Your link here? Contact admin@......" Sorry, not the case. If you are actively encouraging a link scheme of any kind your PR will be penalised. Text like "Your link here" is about as clear a signal as you can send out to Google. See this Google document on link schemes: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66356
I would use the yahoo site explorer to see how you are doing relative to your keyword competition on Google. the reason you may not be ranking, is that other sites are just doing better than you. 4k backlinks is impressive, but it all depends on the niche. PM me if you want more details. cheers
