Many Backlinks at once will hurt ranking?

Lots of backlinks in short time creates big problem, your site may be penalized or ban by Google and also more backlinks doesn't make more PR but good and quality baclinks makes more PR

 

Backlinks are very important for site. It is worng "too many backlinks in a short time hurt ranking or PR".

 

Hmm.. well depends on at what time all of those pages get cralwed. even if you get 1000 links in a day, doesnt mean that all 1000 pages will get crwaled on the same day unless they are on a same IP (then chances become more, rare) and links will only get counted once they are cralwed by the bots.

Hence BLOOP(back links over optimization) isnt that common yet can happen just in case even out of many links, most of them get cralwed within a day or two..So Ummm sometimes one can even escape that as well

But it can be otherway as well..

just keep building links slowly for say atleast from 100 per day is ok.

 

Think about, you start a new business and a month later that business receives thousands upon thousands of links in a couple of days. Does that look natural, or does it look like there is some type of manipulation.

 

getting many backlinks only helped me.

For example my site now has around 100,000 links, in a matter of 2 months. I rank very high (#3 or #4) for popular keywords. However, I did not buy these (thats stupid imo). I just create quality content and get linked by many popular blogs.

 

If all the links are in the content of blog posts and news articles then it looks natural and will give your site good rankings.

If all the links are in forum sigs and directories then you are not going to rank for a while.

 

i don't beleive this is true if it were , someone can kill there competitore this way.

 

But your competitor is unlikely to have a brand new website. If they do then its a big risk to try and hurt them in case it fails and they end up ranking higher than you.
