I have 2 MACBOOK PROs and 2 older ibooks . The new AIR looks great and every realease of anything Apple does only gets better so if you need a compact notebook for travel , etc then the Air would be a good choice, but for a sturdy day to day workhorse I would choose the MACBOOK or MACBOOK PRO , unless you work with a lot of media ( which I do ) you really don't need the Pro - The MACBOOK will give you lots of power and room to grow and any of the Intel based MACS allow you to run Windows just liek another application or you can boot up in Windows and the only person that will know that you are on a MAC is you. I mean I use Parallels and it runs seamlessly when I need a Windows OS environment.

Love macs for the graphical abilities alone. I am a certified Apple tech and use mine for most of the graphics I do. Which probably is not as much as I should lol. I still have g4's and they are going strong. Handle almost anything I throw at them.

Apple laptops look good and id like to make the switch someday but most of the apps I use are windows apps and it would be a pain I think in switching from OSX to Windows to use the apps I use. I use them that often that i may as well just run windows full time.

What's up with you calling everyone "newbies" just because they don't use what you like?

In my country no one sells Macs (never used one), so I use Windows. I love my Windows XP, it has never crashed. Am I a newbie for that?

Seriously , if you get enough memory 2g or above any of the new Macs will let you switch in and out of Windows like switching applications. Its pretty amazing.

    So...is it for sale cheap?

I have been an apple user since the IIc came out, and am now on a rickety G4 with a busted hinge that still loves life and manages my webpire.

Windows is cold an counterintuitive. I have used it when no mac offered, but the extra money is definitely worth it.
