We had to set up a new automation due to the old one getting it's hard drive nuked. I had inadvertenly put the wrong month into the system BIOS. SO when automation cycled thru billing, it put 300odd on hold!

Now how can I reset the automation so that it can restore folks from hold now that the current date is in the system? OR what procedures do i need to follow for this?

Are you wanting to simply change their status in mass?

That's a nice idea, doing a batch status change to those folks found in a search.
Tell me how to do that!

My main concern was the automation. Since it ran a month ahead of the current time, will it run the batches agian when the time came, or is it going to wait to run anything until it reaches the dates indicated under the date completed column?

You can use the Replace function (under the Scripts menu) to mass replace any field (use the SHIFT key to click directly into the status field).

You can set the "Last Run Date/Time" manually under automated tasks to roll it back a month.

The automation was reset back one month and it started to run normally.

One gripe though is that the system runs slow overall.. I know that this is due to the system using encryption, but what does it need to speed up throughput? Can we adjust the server so that it can talk with the clients faster?

We have a branch office that works over cable broadband and we know that we can use a significant fraction for optigold transactions.
