I agree since they are comming without Totti, United have still Browen and young Pique who can handle Roma. Since Manchester United will looking for only attck, they surly know that If United take position and go on attck than they have a good chance to get 1 or 2 goals. If united scored a goal than game over for Roma.
United legend Eric Cantona watches from the stands with pride, as United in cruise control take out Roma 1-0 Tevez scores with diving header from Hargreaves cross Gary Neville makes his season debut in 15 minute cameo at the end A great night of European glory at The Theatre of Dreams
I could of sworn united were stuggling all the way through that game. Roma were very unlucky not to have put several past United. Fair result in the end.
I never know we have soccer fans on Dp..i thought it is all about football (as in carrying that ball and running aroiund and bumping like maniacs ) good to see and yes I support all good teams
We're talkin' good ol' English football, the way it's meant to be played. Not the way it is in the US where everybody thinks they're goalkeepers, picking up the ball and running around with it hehe, j/k
United started off brightly, with Park shooting wide, Doni having to save shots from Giggs and Hargreaves, and Brown's header going over the bar. Roma's game improved after De Rossi blasted his penalty over. Had De Rossi not missed, Roma could have made a game of it. It wasn't all smooth sailing for United, and Ferguson did have a few anxious moments.
No way!! Fergie wants to make Ronaldo to be fresh for Arsenal in next days. Without Ronaldo, MU is very strong for AS Roma. With Ronaldo, MU is stronger again. Ronaldo, Rooney and others are on fire, I am sure MU will beat Barca in next weeks! And last, MU will take UEFA Champions's Cup!!
Well Manchester United did a great job with taking clean sheet win over Roma and Fegi once again take a good steps to rest Ronaldo who is enjoy his best football at the moments and I am sure he is keen to win EPL and UCL. United is so stronger now at Europe and taking clean sheet agianst Roma would boost Manu's chance against Arsenal on 13th and also against Barcelona in Semi. Manchester United’s 1-0 win at Old Trafford against Roma last night was a record breaking one as they wrote themselves into the history books by being the only team to record 11 consecutive home wins in the Champions League. Roma were outclassed again. It would have been interesting if they scored the penalty. oh well. Semi finals....top of the league. Not bad
Yes Sunday is big day for us and win over Arsenal will ensure a title for Manchester United even they lost to Chelsea but need to win against Rovers, WH and Wigan which is easy task for United.
Much as I want to agree with you as I am a lifelong United supporter, all games will be tough between now and until we have actually won the league, thats how it is at this stage of the season when you are going for the title I hope of course we win the league, but it will not easy
