Also it would be great for football as a whole if Barnsleh knocked Chelski out, then there would be none of the top four in the last four of the FA Cup. I bet the FA will be gutted ahahaha

The FA will be happy ;) At least some of the people down there. Yes, the crowds might not throng Wembley if we have Barnsley taking on Bristol/WBA in the final, but the whole point of the tournament is to give the smaller teams a chance to shine.

Exactly, and I bet you if Barnsley did take on West Brom or Cardiff in the Final there'd be a full house.

I'm going to Wembley at the end of the month to see Grimsby take on MK Dons and there expecting each team to sell 30,000 tickets each, both the sides play in the fourth tier of English football.

I actually hope Portsmouth go onto the Final, they deserve a place in Europe next season imo.

Just been looking at various scores today, nice to see Liverpool pick up 3 points. Although - Newcastle, battling relegation:eek:

To think they were, to a certain extent, a real contender for the Champions Leage and UEFA cup spots in recent years - just goes to show what $$$ does.

To that end, I hope Barnsley win tonight. Might actually save the planet - less McBillionaires flying into London in their private jets:p

Newcastle aren't short on cash. Not by any stretch of imagination.

    They earned £87.1m in 2007.

Unless you are implying that money hurts a team's performance instead of improving it :p

The only reason Newcastle find themselves where they are now is because they can't keep a manager for longer than 6 months. The fans get impatient if the team aren't matching their expectations of say a top 10 poistion. If they gave the manager longer then he'd have chance to get a team he wants together and make them gel, rather than picking up players that he doesn't want.

Yeah, they did earn 80-odd million. That's because they didn't spend anything to improve their team:p

If Chelsea didn't have hundreds of millions, they'd still be the same team they were 5 years ago - always battling for the final Champions League place in the league.

If Liverpool did get bought out by their fans at 5k a piece, they'd go all Gretna on us. Not that they perform in the premier league or cups...just in Europe (Why is that?!)

Come to think of it, if Alex Ferguson didn't swan off to Man United, Aberdeen would still be the champions of European football:p

Anyone want to write an 'If Else' statement in Visual C# for the English FA Premier League?:D

Best edit this while I still have the chance - Nice result for Barnsley, great game:D

Great day for football, both Chelsea and Man Utd knocked out of the FA Cup. Really now the FA Cup is anyones, i'd love to see Barnsleh and Bristol Rovers in the final but don't really care now, just gonna be good to see two different teams in the FA Cup final for once rather than the usual top four that we always see in it :)

Ferguson did have a successful time at Aberdeen. I think they won one European title under his reign ( + the super cup that year), along with the titles at home.

Newcastle have spent money in the transfer market, but they do not seem to have spent it wisely.

Albert Luque cost the Toons close to £9.5 million. Some 20 appearances and one goal later, he was shipped off to Ajax.

Michael Owen was bought for £17m. No luck, constantly plagued by injuries.

Sibierski came for £2m and went on a free to Wigan because Newcastle were willing to offer only a one year contract.

David Rozenhal arrived in June 2007 for £2.9m and went on loan to Lazio in January.

Their defending is dreadful, and is simply not up to the standard that is required in the Premiership to compete for a spot in Europe.

They have a current goal difference of -26, only Derby have it worse, and that is saying something. The Rams have shipped in 57, while Newcastle have conceded 56.

Congratulations to Barnsley- well done guys. I think their chairman was to give them each a £1,000 bonus if they won :D

Well one silly mistake cost us to be out from FA Cup and I don't think that He is deserved for Red Card. Milan Baros is smarter striker and he make perfact diving.

It was a not a good game for Manchester United even after good striking and best was Evara's shot. Caddick Miss a easy chance but it was a great effort.

Let's eye on tonite game of Arsenal. If Arsenal drop any point will secure our no.1 Place in next weekend. Next week we have three matches Against Derby(A), Bolton(H) and big Sunday Liverpool(H).
