yes, no doubt that arsenal play beatiful football, thats the reason sometime they do not get a result that they want. But the other two top teams, what important to them is to get a goal.

United led into panic buying. I ve heard that they might sign Anelka or Martins before the turn of the week. Dunno how much of it is true though.

There are rumours of Anelka and Martins being targets of United....

Meanwhile the blue half of Manchester are apparently targetting Marco Amelia as a replacement for Andreas Isaksson.

I hope that is true. Sir Alex must be regret for selling alan smith and giuseppe rossi. MU is lack of great finisher. I have no idea why they don't go for berbatov or torres.

I wouldn't exactly say we have a lack of great finishers - our problem is that we keep getting hit with injuries... Saha, Solskjaer, Rooney, Smith (when he was with us) - all suffered long spells out of action due to injury.

A team such as ours shouldn't be forced to play a midfielder in a strikers role; as we have been doing with Giggs. Whether that was a tactical decision or a "last resort"; Giggs' strongest position is not upfront, and its been showing; as it seems frustration in this role has been affecting his overall performance as of late.

Obviously Tevez has barely played, so we can hope he will improve when he settles in more; although if i'm honest I think the hype has been immensely over-the-top... after all, he only played well as West Ham for the latter half of last season, before that, hardly anyone knew who he was.

We haven't really had a consistently strong striker since Van Nistelrooy, which really isn't good for a club with as much buying power as we have.

Listen to all the Man U pansy complaining. When Arsenal lost Rvp and Henry nobody gave us sympathy and without our best finishers we came 4th

    And you're in a Man U supporters thread...why?

And erm... well done for finishing 4th after losing a couple of players... like we came 1st after losing a couple of ours

Well I think Manu is now out of the race because they have good and attacking midfield and defence but they don't have any good striker. I think this is worst thing for United and if Alex doesn't buy any cool finisher than we might be out of the race before th Xmas. This is one of the worst start for united and next match will be agianst Spur who has same start but they will come wit 4-0 win at OT.

Now Manchester United have to win next 10 to 12 games to make sure our title. I hope new striket soon joine united after City defeat. Ronaldo still out for 2 matches. So it's a best time to get Martins.

Exactly. United need a fox-in-the-box kinda striker like Nistelrooy who will score from close range and poach goals. Someone like a Klose or a Inzaghi. Saha and Rooney have terrific attributes but their position play inside the box is found wanting.

Hope so AGS I think the first decent team city meet that are finishing the job inside the box and they will score 3 or 4 and as Arsenal play the best football in the world just hope it goes well inside the 12 yard box

But for sure Arsenal will beat them :)

Thats great new news, he is a top player just got it all wrong at United lately, he will be a great buy for Real Madrid and he will love Madrid as a city

But more cash for us, which is great because as you say a new striker might sign up :D
