    Hi,

Actually just wanted some opinions on this, if you have acquired a new site and let's say, it's in written in HTML, but you dont have experience with coding, you can see the improvements you want to make regarding SEO on the site but you don't want to start fiddling with the code... What is the best option?

    - Learn basic HTML
    - Hire someone to work on the site for you (where and how?)
    - never purchase a site you can't manage yourself?
    - other options??

    All opinions/suggestions appreciated
    Thanks

HTML is simple and learning basic HTML is very easy.

What exactly do you plan to do?

If you just want to change your page titles, urls etc you should do it yourself.

If you can hire somone who knows how to do it, then you should. You can also use HTML yourself as it is very easy to comprehend.

the best way is learn and start a site, before I hired someone to make a site for me and i paid a lot for him to do every single work, because I hadn't knowledge about web developing and maintenance. Then I got to understand, if a person need to have a successful website, blog or forum, owner must have some knowledge about the field. I stated to learn and now have some knowledge.

Yes, learn basic HTML and also understand how to incorporate the proper
keywords in your tags and in the site's text.

If you don't know SEO you should either learn it or hire somebody that knows what he is doing ...

Don't be intimidated by HTML. This isn't the stone-age of the internet anymore, so you won't be needing to know how to code a page in notepad from scratch. With the vast # of tools & resources available, it's easy (and empowering) to figure out how to do what little you will want to learn yourself. Anything I don't know how to do, I just Google it. The answer is almost always out there.

HTML is easy to use and learn as you dont need to learn it in-deapth, like any designer! Start learning and managing by yourself. Better option to go with!

Html is not big stuff to learn. Advent of macromedia made it more easy to use even for a simple user. For basic informations you can read few information and you will know a lot of things.
